This was my first CD after I got saved and I prayed for a year before I recorded it in 2001. The title song came as a result of two different occasions. Before I trusted Christ I was in a service where my brother Sammy was preaching. I raised my hand that night admitting I needed prayer, unsure of my eternal destination, and he prayed for me not knowing it was his brother’s hand. I was saved that next week.
Wow! I can’t believe so many years later how much has changed. I saw Bruce in the Rooster and Roadrunner show in Hickory, NC around 1995 — and knew he was blessed. He had charisma, wit and a voice that made ya just ‘take Notice”. I introduced myself and prayed for years to see him succeed and yesterday I found an old fan club card in my box of memories… and Thanks to the internet I was able to find out how his life has changed. It is so wonderful to see the evolution of a man — I pray he is happy and fulfilled in his new endeavors. I doubt he would remember me as I was just one of many fans, just some gal in a very striking blue dress, was the only thing he could possible remember. Back then, I too, suffered from addictions and abuse, and have since turned my life into something with meaning. Bless You Bruce and all the lives you touch.
